Treating Depression Using PEMF Therapy

Picture

Depression is an all-too-common way we humans have been suffering recently. Being depressed is not the body's natural state. Everyone feels down sometimes, but when the low mood is chronic, lasting for weeks or months and we lose interest in the things that we formerly loved or felt passionate about, it is a major red flag and cause of concern. Depression needs to be taken very seriously because there's hope and promise to get out of it! It is totally ok to be depressed; it is important to call a spade a spade. Assessing the issue is the first step of getting the help we need.

Depression is a call to action. It means that we are not in our optimal zone of health, and that has serious effects on our lives. Relationships suffer, work performance suffers, self care suffers. Depression has a huge toll on our lives and on those around us. Our bodies respond physically to our mental state. When we are depressed, our immune system functionality lowers, and we are more prone to getting sick. Depression also wreaks havoc on our sleep cycles. Staying up too late getting too little sleep and sleeping too much can disrupt the normal functions of our organs and making it harder to do the things we need to in a day. It is a gargantuan task, climbing out of depression, and that is why we need more than one solution in our toolbox to lean on when we are dealing with depression ourselves or helping a loved one who is experiencing depression.

Good diet and exercise, self care and work productivity is all a part of maintaining good health. Getting enough time outdoors and re-connecting with nature is especially important. Your cells want to work well. Your body wants to be well. We all have an internal bias towards positive change, including every cell in your body. Your body works so hard for you every day, breathing, digesting, and clearing out your head takes on a literal meaning, going for a walk and getting some fresh air can make a huge difference in your day. A way to “cheat” and get exposed to the earth's electromagnetic fields without going outside is laying on a low intensity pulsed electromagnetic field system. Trying new things, noticing our internal sensations is important for changing our relationships to ourselves. Blossoming into the best version of ourselves isn't going to happen if we stay stuck mentally or physically.

There are many ways to ease depressive symptoms and address areas of our lives that are not working; our goal is to make life as depression free as possible. Sometimes that means changing some things in our lives that are no longer working for us. Letting go of habits that are no longer serving us is not easy, but long term, it'll make us happier. Understanding what the causes of depression can be complicated, but only you know yourself best and what needs to happen. Nobody can tell you how to live or what makes you happy. Listening to your internal voice and trusting your intuition is crucial to developing a positive self-image and shifting out of depression.

Maybe it's something as small as getting a new hobby, activity, self care tool or something as big as moving to a new city! Doing the self-reflection of what is working in your life is necessary for changing it. Look at taking stock of everything, from your daily habits - food, water consumption, work, exercise, relationship, and visioning where you would like to be in 5 year's time. Goal setting is an important part of leading a successful life. Becoming someone who you would admire is a good way to frame your mindset around changing your life. If you can dream it, you can achieve it! A little sunshine in your day makes a world of difference to a cloudy mood. Surround yourself with things and people that make you happy and keep you motivated. Make sure to include good nature in your life, even when you get out of depression!

A CLOSER LOOK

Approximately 30% of people with depression are resistant to antidepressant medication. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) has been found effective when combined with antidepressants.  A study was done to evaluate the antidepressant effect when given in conjunction with low-intensity transcranial pulsed electromagnetic fields. The study was a sham-controlled double-blind study comparing 5 weeks of active T-PEMF, or sham T-PEMF. All participants had previously shown resistance to treatment with medication. Weekly assessments were done using both clinical ratings and patient ratings. The sham group saw no change after 4 weeks. Participants doing active T-PEMF showed significantly better outcomes, with the changes occurring within the first weeks of the study. The T-PEMF treatment was superior to sham treatment in participants and few side effects were observed. (study found in the Society of Biological Psychiatry 2010, Martiny)

Treating Pain Using PEMF Therapy

Picture

Pain is our first feeling when we are born. It is really painful to take our first breath as we enter the world. Every single person on this planet has experienced pain, and it is not fun. For many people, pain is a constant part of life. We live in a brutal world, and injuries are something that happen to the best of us. Accidents happen in even our daily life, both in the workplace and at home - bumping our heads on the car, slamming our fingers in the door, stubbing our toes...that's life! Not to mention staying physically active, sports injuries are a part of the equation of pain as well. Chronic and acute pain from injuries both new and old, arthritis, various chronic digestive disorders, and other autoimmune conditions are an unfortunate reality for people of all ages. In the Buddhist rhetoric, pain and suffering is a part of life, something to be expected. That does not make enduring it any more pleasant or easy!  Everyone experiences pain, but it does not have to be that way. Being pain free is possible, at least in your body.

Pain is a sign from your body that something is wrong. A lot of the time the pain we feel is a result from inflammation in an injured area, or an area in our body that is not functioning properly. Our nerves misfiring can also be a cause of pain. It is a complicated symptom to nail down an exact cause as it depends on the individual and what they do in their life. Muscular pain, postural pain from repetitive motion injuries, even pain from sleeping in a suboptimal position is quite common and affects us all at one time or another.

There are many schools of thought about pain management and pain rehabilitation. Rest is important, but it is not always the answer when there is pain involved. Motion is lotion! Getting your cells functioning and neurons firing properly is always the goal in any form of rehabilitation. A healthy body is naturally pain free. Reaching for over-the-counter medications taxes the liver, organs, and nutritional absorption capabilities in the body. It may work for a short while, but it has its cost. The pain comes back and then we tend to be at square one if we do not or cannot get rid of the cause of the pain. Rehabilitation practices like physio, chiropractic, and acupuncture, renting a PEMF system and proper rehabilitation exercises are a good way to prevent and deal with injuries.

The importance of regular meals and a healthy diet can't be overlooked either, it can especially speed up healing, and also prevent some forms of pain as well.  Nature informs our bodies to heal, we all possess the innate ability to heal ourselves. Tapping into those healing functions is easier when we surround ourselves with the forces of nature, clean air, clean water, and plenty of time outdoors. Low intensity pulsed electromagnetic fields give our bodies a boost of optimal cellular function when time isn't on our side and is great for pain management when we don't have the time to do all the other things that help with pain rehabilitation.

Natural pain management tools are always a kinder and more sustainable option on the human body, but sometimes they do not work as quickly as we need or want them to. Healing is not linear, there will be ups and downs. Healing pain is not linear either, it will come back, sometimes get worse before it gets better. This is normal. Pain is the source of a lot of frustration. As if life is not frustrating enough! A positive mindset can do wonders for motivating us and for healing pain.

Luckily, there is lots we can do about the pain we feel. Getting our bodies to be able to move without pain takes some time and dedication, and consistency. It takes consistent effort, but the payoff is priceless. Living in pain is limiting. We all want to lead limitless and healthy lives, taking care of our bodies naturally is the cornerstone of feeling good inside our own skin. Restoring optimal cell functioning is the highway to health and to staying young, and there are so many options to try!

A CLOSER LOOK AND PRACTITIONER EXPERIENCE

Musculoskeletal disorders such as arthritis, tendinitis, sprains and strains, fractures, post-op pain, osteoporosis, wounds, neuralgias, neuropathies, hip disorders, muscle spasms, spinal stenosis, disc degeneration, spinal injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches/migraines, and tennis/golfer’s elbow are among the most common pain sources that PEMF’s have been used for.
In one study done on PEMF and back pain, the findings suggested that PEMFs should be applied on a consistent basis over an extended period to achieve the best results. In that study 95% of the participants found relief.

As a PEMF Practitioner, at least 60-70% of my clients are coming to see me for chronic pain conditions. Some see a small reduction in just one session, most see a reduction in three or more sessions, rarely does it take weeks of sessions to produce some change. All clients are different though and the results really depend on the length of time they’ve been experiencing the pain and how responsive their body is to PEMFs. Most clients when they experience a reduction of pain by 25-50%, don’t want to lose that momentum! My clients will often rent an Omnium1 for 1-2 weeks or simply purchase their own system for home use to continue their progress and maintain a more pain free life.  Pain is the easiest condition to measure accurately as it is something a client can notice quite quickly as they live with it every day. Rating it on the scale of 1-10 is a great tool to use with my clients both in clinic, during rentals, and for my home users.

One client of mine who had spinal stenosis came to me at a 10/10 level of pain. He had already tried a variety of therapies both conventional and alternative with no success. In one session with the iMRS he rated his pain from a 10/10 to an 8/10. Over the next 8 sessions he was able to bring that rating down to a near zero. This client bought his own iMRS and now maintains an exceptionally low pain rating and a much better quality of life!

Sleep Is the Most Important Part of a Successful Tomorrow

Picture

Sleep is the most important part of a successful tomorrow. We recover from the day, and our bodies have a change to regenerate and grow new cells. We wake up each day with 1500 new neurons, 100 billion immune cells from our bone marrow, and 250 billion red blood cells. It is incredible when you look at the numbers. That is a lot of work our bodies do! No wonder why we get so tired at the end of the day. Our bodies make miracles happen.

Being tired and feeling exhausted does not necessarily translate to a restful and restorative sleep, unfortunately. Many people suffer from poor sleep, and the causes and symptoms vary. From mental disturbances to too much late-night screen time or eating too late before bed, drinking too much caffeine, or eating too much sugar, the factors that contribute to a failure of a good night's rest never seem to end. No matter the reason, getting a good night's sleep can easily make the biggest difference in productivity, wellbeing, and health.

Sleep is especially important for not only our bodies, but our brains as well. Humans have evolved to sleep throughout the night, making sure that our brains rest and reset for the following day. There was a study that found that a common symptom of a shorter sleep is eating about 500 more calories the day after. Our hunger cycles are also intricately linked to our sleep cycles. During sleep, our organs can rest and regenerate from a hard day's work. Getting 6-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep is key to keeping our hormone levels in check, our hunger at an appropriate level, and our stress at bay.

The modern-day lifestyle is notorious for cutting into our sleep cycles. Too many things in our immediate home environment disrupt the peaceful rest we all need and deserve. Stress, screen time, working in different time zones, binge watching Netflix, increased background noise levels from living in cities all exacerbate our abilities to wind down after a full day. It is important to notice our habits on how we work, and rest to see what we can change. No change is too small when we are needing to get a good rest. Passing out on the couch rarely makes for a good night's rest. Making the bedroom a sleeping sanctuary is a good first step. Getting a weighted blanket and putting on some relaxing spa music to help us get to our REM cycles seems to work well for a lot of people, no matter what age we are.

The earth has a sleep and wake cycle, and to keep healthy we cannot separate ourselves from the natural cadence of the world we live in. Our everyday life is often in direct conflict with the natural rhythms of our planet. The natural electromagnetic frequencies of the earth help us to keep our cells in the optimal range of health, regulating our melatonin, the sleep hormone. Low frequency PEMF devices mimic the earth's electromagnetic field from the comfort of our homes, where we are less exposed to nature and the outdoors. The evolution of humans living indoors and not nomadically is a benefit for convenience, warmth, and comfort, but also a detriment at times to our cells, and hormones. PEMF rentals are an easy way of trying to get some of that natural electromagnetic field into our lives again and returning to a more natural circadian rhythm.

Having a wind down routine for the evening is important to incorporate into our own good sleep etiquette. Whatever works for you, be it mindful breathwork, slow and gently movement techniques like yin yoga, stretching or foam rolling, a session on a low frequency pulsed electromagnetic field device (the Omnuim1 has an amazing sleep setting for this specific purpose), or journaling or reading a hard-copy book; it is important to take your sleep as seriously as you take your time being awake. Keeping a sleep journal can be helpful to motivate your progress to a peaceful slumber, and many devices and apps are available for tracking your sleeping habits too.

Once you start getting good sleep, it is easy to notice how just one bad night can throw off the next day. Chronic sleeplessness is all too common, and our world will be a more peaceful place if we all got the rest we deserved. It's always up to you to keep yourself and your healthy habits your top priority. Sleep on it!

A CLOSER LOOK

Magnetic fields from an extremely low intensity and low frequency (0.5 mT/5 Gauss 4 Hz) were tested in a double-blind study. Effects on sleep were studied prior to treatment after 2 and then again after 6 weeks of treatment. The results found were that PEMF’s applied at this field and intensity were effective in reducing sleep disturbances in 83% of the exposed group. (Fischer)

In another 4-week double-blind, placebo-controlled study, PEMF was tested for insomnia. One hundred patients were randomly placed in either active treatment or placebo groups. These groups each had three categories: trouble falling asleep (sleep latency), interrupted sleep, or nightmares. The study assessed 6 areas: sleep latency, frequency of sleep interruptions, sleepiness upon rising, daytime sleepiness, difficulty with concentration, and daytime headaches. In the active-treatment group, the values of all 3 categories had significantly improved results, no one had any adverse effects.  70% of the people given active treatment experienced substantial relief, 24% had clear relief, and 6% had slight relief. In the placebo group, only one patient had clear relief, 49% had some improvement, and 49% saw no change. Overall, the PEMF therapy helped about 90% of the individuals, versus only about 50% of the placebo group. This study was useful in showing that most basic types of sleep problems can be substantially helped with the use of PEMF therapies. (Pelka)

Treating Anxiety Using PEMF Therapy

Picture

It is more common to have anxiety now than ever before. It is a word that comes up almost daily in our conversations surrounding life. Even if we do not admit it externally, we can admit to ourselves that we all get a bit anxious from time to time. Now especially, the pandemic has brought an extra layer of low-grade anxiety to our lives.

The human body and mind are overly sensitive to all outside influences and internal emotions. We can make ourselves sick with worry, it is a colloquialism for a reason!  When we do not have healthy coping mechanisms for the ups and downs of life, we can make choices that lead us astray. These poor choices contribute to negative and self sabotaging cycles we can all relate to. Life can be messy! When our thoughts are a mess, it leads to even more anxiety if we do not take specific actions that bring us back into an optimal range of wellness. A little resourceful and resilient thinking and good habits go a long way for both the mind and body. We cannot separate the mind from the body. Mental health is physical health!

We feel it in our bodies most, this low-grade stress that an anxious mind cause. Tense shoulders, clenching jaws, restless legs, headaches…the list can go on and on. Everyone experiences anxiety a little differently, we all have different things that can trigger it. It is important to learn about yourself and what your personal needs and triggers are, so you can better manage your awareness around them. Always remember that the way you are feeling affects those around you too! The people around you are sensitive to your anxiety, even if they themselves do not admit it, we can often feel when something is “off” with a person that we love.

Adults and kids both suffer from anxious behavior. Anxiety can express itself differently in each age group, and so we must be on the lookout and check in with ourselves and each other to notice our feelings. A good way of doing that is rating our feelings of peace and ease versus our feelings of worry and anxiety. How peaceful do you feel today? How anxious do you feel today? It is helpful to think about a score on a scale of 1-10: quantifying ambiguous feelings like anxiety helps make them feel more tangible. Comparing our feelings of peace brings our minds closer to our goal of moving through life lightly and peacefully, come what may.  This scaling system makes it much easier to see how quickly you can make progress to move through your anxiety and into a state of peacefulness.

Anxiety is a silent and deceptive beast; it lays dormant whilst we think we are doing well. It can rear its ugly head by making us think of the past or the future. It builds without much notice and spills over in our thoughts, mostly it feels negative and self defeating. Throwing pity-parties is an example and living in the clouds. Unhealthy coping mechanisms like obsessive thinking, excessive eating, drinking, or smoking, are a good indicator of an anxious mind. Anxiety keeps you out of the present moment, and distracts us from our actual realities, keeping us from getting important things done.

We can all suffer from avoidant behavior, being too worried about the commitments we have made, leading us to less virtuous and avoidant behavior. From skipping practice, chats with friends to skipping healthy meals and self care, anxiety creates a whirlwind for our daily life.

A really good tool to use for anxiety is mindfulness. But how do we stay mindful of the present moment? Everyone is a little different, but we all share the same struggles internally when we are anxious. A good way of attaining a more peaceful state is simply lying down. Grounding is an old school technique used where we can lay on the bare earth to help us offload our anxiety onto the earth. It can be a little problematic and impractical, and too quirky in our everyday lives to do that. People with various health conditions and movement impairments may not even be able to. Good thing we live in the modern world! A great tool to use is a low intensity PEMF system that mimics the earth's electromagnetic field. We can bring nature back into our homes in many ways. Laying on The Omnium 1 is a super easy way of bringing us back into the earth's magnetic field, and we do not have to risk getting any dirt on our clothes! Even renting the mat to try it out is a great idea. Anxiety is hard to deal with and when we need to take care of our thoughts in unconventional and modern ways. Adding new tools for wellness and routines to help ourselves get back on track in our ever-changing world is not only important but also necessary.

PRACTITIONER EXPERIENCE

As a PEMF Practitioner I have worked with many clients with Anxiety disorders from mild to severe. With consistent sessions (3/week), these clients reported improvements through a rating scale done before and after their sessions. They were asked to rate their anxiety from 1-10, 10 being the most anxious. Almost every client reported improvement within the first three sessions. The others reported improvement by the second week. These improvements on the scale were seen as a decrease in anxious feelings by an average of 2-5 points, always with at least some change from the before to the after-session rating. To date, no clients have reported zero change after two weeks of sessions. The biggest shift has been for the clients who purchased an Omnium1 or iMRS for home use and increased their sessions up to 2/day. The ratings shared post purchase were and are often a reduction to 3 out of 10, right down to a 0 out of 10. These home users were giving this feedback between 1-3 months after using their Omnium1 or iMRS at home at least 2/day.

In Relation to the Use of the Omnium1 and the iMRS Prime Systems

WHAT? PEMF Therapy is a frequency-based technology that supports and activates the natural and healthy biological process in the body. It uses nature-based frequencies that we resonate with to optimize cell function, replenish cellular energy, initiate healing, and regeneration, and balance the body systems. It is a technology that can improve our quality of life.

WHY? For millions of years, we have been exposed to frequencies emitted from the earth’s magnetic field and the schumann resonance, and this energetic connection is essential to our health. Electromagnetism is just as vital as food, water, light, and air. Our bodies are run on energy and our internal systems are initiated and supported by the frequencies we encounter in our natural environment. Unfortunately, through the modernization of civilization and the changes we have made to the environment, we have reduced exposure to the natural frequencies. Not only have we insulated ourselves with paved roads and concrete buildings, but we have created technology that has interrupted and disrupted the balance of our natural environment.

HOW? By exposing the cells to weak pulsating electromagnetic frequencies, we can improve cellular metabolism and ion transfer through the cell membrane wall. This cellular optimization allows the body the energy capacity it needs to focus on healing and regeneration. The frequency range provided can stimulate various positive biological processes including but not limited to reducing pain and inflammation and increasing circulation. The full body mat emits the biological range of frequencies from .5-28Hz by the triple sawtooth wave, in smaller bundles determined by the Chinese organ clock. This means that the full body mat stimulates and supports different processes/organs through out the day based on when those biological process are most active. This also helps restore the body’s natural circadian rhythm. If the clock is set correctly, the system intelligently knows the bundle to offer.
Morning (early-10) 12-28Hz
Noon (10-3pm) 8-12Hz
Evening (3-8pm) 4-8Hz
Night (8-late) .5-4Hz
The waveform changes polarity every 2 mins and delivers the frequencies though out the body by way of cellular resonance, resonance is key in stimulating change.

WHO? PEMF is for everyone from pediatric to geriatric. Though most people wait to find solutions until their quality of life has declined, PEMF can be used preventatively too. Our systems are safe for babies 2 weeks old and up and have no negative side effects. People are using PEMF therapy to improve their energy & sleep, reduce pain and inflammation, increase circulation, and to manage the symptoms associated with many chronic conditions from arthritis to anxiety, Diabetes to Multiple Sclerosis.

WHEN? Ideally everyday! The full body mat should be used at least twice a day, book ending your day is recommended, so morning and later in the day or evening. The full body mat should be used for a minimum of 8 mins and a maximum of 24 mins per session (after 24 mins on the full body cells are fully charged) We always suggest a minimum of 12 mins to our clients, but the bigger benefits come from longer than 8mins always. The pad applicator and the spot applicator can be used as often as you like and for longer sessions as they are specific to the area being exposed.

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy & Athletic Performance

Read Now

All athletes, from weekend runners to yoga experts, physical labourers to Olympic gold medalists, are hard on their bodies.  To be able to maintain a high level of activity, maximize performance and prevent injury, all body systems need to be functioning optimally.

Magnetic resonance stimulation uses weak pulsing magnetic fields to optimize cell functions through increased ion transfer.

The Omnium1 PEMF system allows muscles to work harder, longer, and recover faster.  For the competitive athlete this means, a stronger finish to a race, and shorter rest periods between games and practices.  For the casual exerciser this means less muscle soreness after the dreaded “leg day”.  By achieving and maintaining optimal cell functions with daily us of an Omnium1 PEMF system, a healthier environment is created within the body.  Athletes who follow a daily PEMF protocol have more to give on game day and are less likely to succumb to injury.

What are the basic Physiological Responses from Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field Therapy?

Using a magnetic therapy system before physical activity has many real benefits for the athlete. PEMFs stimulate a process called myosin phosphorylation, which is the process of energy production in the muscle. Phosphorylation produces ATP, which is essential for cellular energy. ATP depletion, which happens with strenuous activity, causes muscles to weaken and potentially spasm. Rest naturally restores ATP, assuming the body is healthy enough to replenish it. PEMFs restore ATP by stimulating the myosin phosphorylation process. In fact, according to Dr William Pawluk MD, through an increased motion of ions and electrolytes, magnetic fields can help cells increase their energy by up to 500%.

Magnetic fields also increase the uptake of oxygen into the muscle.  Research show that with the aid of the PEMF’s cells are able to better utilize the available oxygen, increasing endurance.  Magnetic therapies also increase circulation, further helping tissues get the nutrition and oxygen they need, while expelling the waste they produce.

Using a magnetic therapy system after strenuous activity can both greatly diminish soreness and reduce painful muscle spasms and cramping. The body has a somewhat limited repertoire of reacting to damage, injury, or illness.

Training and workouts, even informal athletic activity like yard work, often cause muscle soreness from the buildup of lactic acid and breakdown of tissues.

All injuries produce swelling in the tissues, as does exercise itself. Swelling delays the ability of the tissues to be nourished with oxygen and nutrients. This is why you see athletes frequently being treated with ice packs. Ice packs reduce superficial swelling, but swelling or bruising deep in a muscle will not respond as well to ice. Conversely, PEMFs penetrate tissues deeply without risk to the superficial tissues. The PEMFs reduce swelling and speed removal of the blood in a bruise, leading to faster recovery and return to activity, competition or training.

From this, we can see that all athletes, competitive or otherwise, should be using daily PEMF treatments for preventative reasons and for overall health maintenance. In addition, the treatment of any injuries with PEMF’s accelerates even subtle healing, allowing the athlete to be healthier, stronger and perform better.

The effects of Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field therapy are becoming increasingly apparent, particularly in professional high performance sports.  Because of the exertion of daily endurance training, top-athletes are far more sensitive. Unlike the average person, however, they are aware of the smallest changes in their bodies.   Today, many world champions and Olympic medalists from a variety of sports rely on PEMF Therapy for medical and physiotherapeutic treatments.  To legally optimize endurance, they count predominantly on the natural effects of PEMF therapy.  However, PEMF therapy is not limited to these athletes as leisure and amateur sports people also benefit from its positive effects.

*The PEMFs reduce swelling and speed removal of the blood in a bruise, leading to faster recovery and return to activity, competition, or training.

*Using a magnetic therapy system after strenuous activity can both greatly diminish soreness and reduce painful muscle spasms and cramping.

If you want to enhance your athletic performance and recovery, try a PEMF rental system like the Omnium1 2.0. Its portability allows you to use it on the go! Many athletes especially like the ‘Performance” and ‘Regeneration’ quick start programs available! Make the most of your body’s health and keep that body in motion!

Top 5 Tips to Protect You and Your Family From Everyday Radiation

Read Now

We love our technology and our gadgets, whether we are needing it for our jobs, keeping up with the demands of life, or staying current with today’s newest and coolest! Our smart phones, smart watches, wireless headphones, laptops, tablets, video gaming systems, virtual home assistants, etc.

We may feel we get huge benefits from this technology but what about the downside to it all? If you take away the entertainment or the instant gratification of these products, what is left behind. Are these wildly smart and creative inventions good for us on all levels? Down deep, many people know the answer to that is no. Increasingly, everyday radiation is being shown to have adverse health risks, yet we continue to add more and more to our home and work environment. I am certainly not a naysayer of technology; I believe with modern day technology has come some of the greatest discoveries especially in medicine and health. But it is very possible that our daily exposure to all this technology is also harming our health, and those harmful effects are happening right at the cell level, the foundation of our bodies. We are literally made of about 70 trillion cells and our future health is dependant on how those cells function. It stands to reason then, that we would want to protect our cells and prevent any harm that may come to them. Afterall we are only as healthy as our cells!

Even knowing that these tech toys are not improving our internal body functions, we are not likely to ban these life luxuries from our homes for good. That would be an exceedingly difficult feat to achieve, and not completely necessary.

How Can We Stay Current with the Times but Mitigate the Damage of Everyday Radiation?

How do we balance the health risks from everyday radiation and everyday convenience? Luckily, there are some quite simple adjustments and additions we can make to significantly reduce our exposure without dramatically changing the way we live.

ADJUSTMENTS

  1. DISTANCE – Keep your cell phone, computer, and other electronics from being in direct contact with your body when you are not using it. (Read the fine print that comes with your cell phone – most manufacturers direct you to keep 1/2 – 1-inch between yourself and your skin.) Try using earphones or speaker phone when talking. Place laptops and tablets on a table rather than directly on your lap. Carry your phone in your bag rather than your pocket. Text instead of call, the farther away it is the better.
  2. AIRPLANE MODE OR SHUTDOWN – Turning your device to airplane mode turns off the cellular and wireless signals. At night switch all devices to airplane mode, the alarms can still be used. Turn the wifi off at night, give your bodies a break. Sleep is the time we regenerate and heal so minimizing exposure to radiation will enhance your body’s natural abilities.
  3. REDUCE USAGE – When possible, limit your time using devices. Use a corded landline for long calls. Put a limit on video gaming, take breaks from sitting in front of your laptop or using your phone. Reducing this exposure is especially important during times of high risk – pregnancy, early childhood, and even while trying to conceive.

ADDITIONS

  1. SHIELDING – Shielding can be a helpful way to reduce some of the radiation exposure when using devices. It can also help to reduce ambient radiation from wifi and other electrical devices in the home. Just remember that though these shields may help minimize the exposure, they cannot protect you completely.
  2. PEMF TECHNOLOGY – PEMF is a frequency-based technology that uses therapeutic human cell frequencies to optimize cell function and return cells to their natural state. Humans have evolved for millions of years being surrounded and bathed in frequencies from earth and those frequencies are key to our health and essential to life. The frequencies coming out of our devices are unnaturally high, millions of times higher in fact. PEMF can reset our cells and optimize their functions, offering a great option for the whole family to combat the negative effects of everyday radiation. There are many ways to add this health enhancing technology to your daily routine, renting or buying a PEMF system allows you to take a very active role in protecting your health.

All we can do is our best, and with more knowledge we can make better choices in protecting ourselves and our loved ones in a world that is rapidly changing around us.

The Problem

Sitting is the new smoking and sedentary circulation issues caused by remaining in static positions for long periods are becoming more and more common in the workplace.  Millions of North American employees working desk jobs suffer from one or more of the following: chronic pain, low energy, poor sleep, fatigue, migraines, brain fog, anxiety, depression or stress.  Some proactive companies are currently deploying preventative measures in the form of ergonomic work stations to prevent musculoskeletal disorders or lounge like lunch rooms to improve atmosphere.  Though these may provide some symptomatic relief they are not getting to the true cause and there is a better way!

The Solution

PEMF therapy is by far the most effective solution currently available on the market today to combat the negative effects of sedentary circulation issues commonly experienced by office workers.

PEMF - Pulsed Electro Magnetic Field therapy also known as MRS - Magnetic Resonance Stimulation is an energy medicine that uses weak pulsating electromagnetic fields to activate various physiological processes in the body by improving cell membrane potential through increased ion transfer.  In simpler terms, PEMF is an all-natural way to combat cellular dysfunction by exercising and rehabilitating our cells.  A low frequency pulsed electromagnetic field that mimics the earth’s magnetic field in frequency and intensity is used to re-energize our cells, optimizing cell functions, rebalancing and recalibrating the body systems.

How does PEMF Therapy work? The main feature of this treatment method is the resonance effect of pulsating magnetic fields in the body. Frequencies within the exact human biological window are transmitted as purposeful information to weakened or unhealthy cells whose functions have been restricted or diminished due to sedentary circulation issues caused by sitting for long periods and repetitive movements.  Comprehensive scientific studies by many institutions including NASA have already proven the positive medical effects of pulsating electromagnetic fields and Health Canada has provided us with a Class 2 medical license.

How can PEMF Therapy benefit employees? Regulating the autonomic nervous system, stimulating, nerve recuperation, wound healing, alleviation of pain, improving metabolic function, improving circulation, improving immune system & lymphocytes. Reducing stress, regulating digestive activity, improving sleep patterns, improving effect of medications due to improved metabolism and circulation.

How will PEMF therapy sessions be administered?  You lie on the Omnium1 PEMF mat fully clothed for 12- 24 minutes.

What will employees feel during the treatment? The majority of people don’t feel anything other than deep relaxation, as magnetic fields cannot be felt with our senses. Some users report a feeling of heat in areas where they have had a problem and it’s due to improved circulation in skin or muscles.  It’s not what you feel during the treatment, it’s what happens after the treatment when cell functions have been optimized stimulating a natural healing response throughout the body.

How do you know it is doing anything? Dark Field Microscopy pictures (shown below) of blood cells before and after 8 minute PEMF session.
